VOGUE: A Runway Invasion

Everybody's been buzzing about the party at 7th High last August 18. It was the Acquaintance party of JPIA with a high fashion theme.Experience 7th High in Bonifacio Global City, Makati. I don't know much about bars but I'm pretty sure from all the bars that JPIA had their parties, I must say that 7th High is one of those bars that was able to set the mood and get people pumped up!

Before this picture was taken, I was freaking out. Seriously. I'm not sure what you call it but I was on the spot chosen to be the substitute host. I don't do those, I mean it's not my "thing". I was freaking out not because I had stage fright but I don't think I'm good at ad-libbing. Thank heavens there was a script! You see, I was supposed to be helping models in changing from a gown to another for the fashion shows and making sure that the gowns were still in perfect condition when we returned them to our sponsors.

We started our program with a BANG! We began with a fashion show accompanied by a song number from JAG ( JPIA Artists Guild).

We also had a raffle for the audience. They got freebees from our sponsors. Cellphones from Starmobile, earphones from Jays earphones. Also a necklace from Qwin Accessories.

The highlight of the program was the competition for the freshman. Each block had two models to represent and strut, like they never did, on the runway in Paul Herrera creations and Qwin Accessories.

At this time, everybody was already screaming the block they wanted to win. The freshman dominated the crowd, screaming at the top of their lungs the names of their reps and their block number. The pair who won received a phone from Starmobile and earphones from Jays earphones.
The models had a photoshoot prior to the event with Mr. Aldrin Van Sta. Maria and the pictures were posted on the event's page for liking.

Congratulations Kristina Coresis and Benedict Thaddeus Espiritu for invading the runway that night! They have garnered a total of 2900 likes on their photo on facebook!

Now what's a party without a dance crew opening the dance floor ? To open the dance floor we had a sing and dance number from JAG, a pool of talented students that share the same passion for the arts.
They sang and danced to Where have you been by Rihanna.

The DJ got the crowd pumped up especially when a remix of Call My Maybe was playing! People would even go up on stage to dance !

I've been in JPIA for almost 4 years, in Non-Academics committee for 3 years now. Non-Academics usually holds activities like general assemblies, amazing races and parties for the members, from the name of the committee you can tell it's not about academics LOL. Studying is definitely our top priority, not only for accountancy students of course, but sometimes we need to chill and getaway from all the stress. VOGUE, was the last party for me. The last that I'm part of the planning and executing on the day itself. I'm not really sure what to feel. I just love the feeling of stressing on the planning stage then all the stress, the efforts pay off after the event. In JPIA, mediocrity is not an option, excellence is our passion. With that in mind, we celebrated with a little liquor.

All the opportunities I was able to have being part of JPIA, all so memorable and I'm thankful for all those. Talk about life and its wonders.

Thank you to our sponsors: Click the city, Starmobile , URC, Jays earphones, Geronimo Photographico, Paul Herrera, Veejay Floresca, Destileria ( Toska Vodka and El Hombre) and San Miguel.

Thank you to all those who attended and made the party a success!
Back to reality, back to books. :))

Pete said what I was wearing would've been perfect for an outfit post but I was so exhausted after the party to take outfit posts. But allow me to plug-in what I was wearing:
Dress : Pull & Bear | Red Pumps: Steve Madden | Accessories : Qwin Accessories | Hair and Make-up: Zarah Rovero

xx,
Patricia Erica
